October 5 We spent a lovely day touring Knowlton/Lac-Brome Quebec, home of Louise Penny, one of Elizabeth’s favourite authors. (I need to start reading the series.)  We saw many locations that were the inspiration for locations in her books.  Ruth's Duck (look's like a pick pocket in training) Love this caption At the "Buzz" cafe Fair Day by Jane from Still Life It’s Fall – the outside temperature went to -3C last night and the outside (campground) tap froze.  All OK inside, our water and pump worked fine, and they thawed by early morning when the sun came out.  Another reason to be heading home...winter's coming. There is a Celtic music festival going on here but tickets were sold out.  Also, in two weeks there is a writer’s festival in Knowlton and Louise will be participating … maybe another time.  The Celtic music festival is every two years, not sure about the writer’s festival. An army cad...

October 1, Spent today traveling to the west of NB and Bayside, St. Andrews, home of the earliest French settlements in Canada.  We spent most of the day at the Kingsbrae  Gardens   which were amazing and beautiful.  They had many sculptures featured throughout and also in a special “sculpture” garden.  We had a very nice lunch there.  Next was downtown for groceries and checking out the various shops.   I loved this quote on a bench Not such a great shot...actually says u~ pick I think this was called "Windy"   There are deer wandering around town (much to some of the resident’s dismay.) Actually, they are everywhere – lawns, roadsides, parks and they are not as timid as deer usually are. October 2, Special day… Elizabeth’s birthday.  We have some events planned, baking to do, brunch al a Gerard / Miss Adventure Too’s kitchen and a dinner o...

23 September We met a nice couple, Sheila and Scott from Atlanta, Georgia, who were camped behind us.     We seemed to have a lot in common and they mentioned they were going to a kitchen party that evening.     So we decided to go together.     The kitchen party (really a concert) was in Stanley Bridge, where we went when we were in PEI in August.     The group was Leon Gallant and friends.     There is a link here to a short YouTube clip of the group: https://youtu.be/24rSviH0fTE They were quite entertaining and we really enjoyed them.  Leon is from Stanley Bridge and the others are also local folk, although, Billy, the fiddler has moved to Ontario.  Scott and Sheila sent us an email saying they ran into Leon when they went to the North Cape and had a chat with him. Interesting PEI residence 24 September Packed and moved to NB.  By the way, some more interesting trivia:  The br...
