23 September We met a nice couple, Sheila and Scott from Atlanta, Georgia, who were camped behind us.     We seemed to have a lot in common and they mentioned they were going to a kitchen party that evening.     So we decided to go together.     The kitchen party (really a concert) was in Stanley Bridge, where we went when we were in PEI in August.     The group was Leon Gallant and friends.     There is a link here to a short YouTube clip of the group: https://youtu.be/24rSviH0fTE They were quite entertaining and we really enjoyed them.  Leon is from Stanley Bridge and the others are also local folk, although, Billy, the fiddler has moved to Ontario.  Scott and Sheila sent us an email saying they ran into Leon when they went to the North Cape and had a chat with him. Interesting PEI residence 24 September Packed and moved to NB.  By the way, some more interesting trivia:  The br...

SEPT 21,22,23 SEPT 21 Today we travelled to Abram-Village for a super great concert presented by: The Village Musical Acadian is pleased to welcome Miller | MacDonald | Cormier on September 21, 2019 at 8 pm. September 22 A quiet day around the campsite basking in the sun and watching the waters of the Northumberland Strait.  A beautiful sunny day on the island.  Elizabeth cleaned some of th...

"Isabelle," owner of the pizza place we ate at, makes these cotton cloth-craft during the "quiet" months.  We bought one to hang in the trailer. (Trailer=Roulette en Francais). Misty is not thrilled...we are. Before I forget, there are a couple of better shots of our "boondock site" that was just off the ferry landing in Souris PEI, Sept 15: Sept 16 was quiet.  Groceries and booking some events which we will be updating you about in this blog! Sept 17. Today we went to Lennox Island which is a Mi'kmaq First Nations reserve of about 350 residents.  Their main industry is fishing and they are developing a great tourist/cultural center.   We booked a workshop on "quilling" and a fantastic young  Mi'kmaq   woman named  "Misty" (same as our cat) was our host which included a guided tour of the museum cultural center.  Well worth it.   Misty detailed the trips to New Brunswick to find (road kill) ...
