5 Aug Quebec City
We left Montreal behind after a great visit with our friends Cait and Jean-Louis. They have a beautiful piece of property west of Montreal in Les Cedres overlooking the St Lawrence and backing onto the paved cycleway and canal.
After we cleared the hustle and bustle of Montreal traffic, we left the TransCanada Highway and headed for the quieter, scenic countryside (132) that follows the St.Lawrence. It was so beautiful with views of the water, century farms, 1800s buildings, churches and multiple vegetable/fruit stands.
Wed. Aug. 6. relaxed around camp, went swimming. Pretty well a quiet relaxing day.

The amazing gold gilding! Elizabeth quietly rang the bell.
| The villages and towns all have kiosks with descriptions of their history etc. |
We bought some delicious corn, tomatoes and lettuce here. Very friendly folk.
| Found this unique flag at our camp. The folks were from New Hampshire CANUSA, a new country for us. (LOL) |
